This is the piece that started the Thread Series. Tidying the studio prior to starting work on a new piece, I rediscovered the Chinese newspapers I brought back from China. Combine those with my love of mosaic: Gaudi, Niki de St. Phalle, walkways, etc., and my use of movement in my work, and this piece came into being.
Materials: muslin, Chinese newspaper pieces, thread, batting, gel medium.
