WALL ART ~ OTHER ART 1

ch.1

“Chameleon I”
30”H x 29”W
$850

What do you do with all those really bad photographs you took while trying unsuccessfully to figure out your 35 mm camera ?? You make art out of them. In this instance, I have plenty of material for numerous future pieces.

Everything in this piece is recycled: awning canvas from a shop that went out of business, scrap burlap from a long ago art piece, silk scraps from my dyeing studio, a rayon remnant, painted netting from an old art costume, shade screen from the windows of my house, and of course, those photographs.

A piece made with really bad slides is also going to happen at some point; I have lots of those as well. I for one, celebrate digital cameras.

Materials: recycled awning canvas, burlap, silk, rayon, shade screen, old photographs, acrylic paint.
