This is a piece about the fires that seem to occur in Southern California each year. The damage to the land is horrendous, but the earth does come back. 

The personal losses of the victims of the fires may take longer to overcome, and the emotional wounds often take longer to heal.

Materials: commercial felt, fabric, thread, artist made fiber-paper, artist dyed silks and other fabrics.
