OTHER ART ADORNMENTS ~ CAGED PINS 1
Caging is an old jewelry technique that I enjoy doing a great deal. It entails the wiring of beads etc., to a jewelry ‘cage’. The cage is then joined to the back cover which has a sturdy pin back built into it. Caged pieces are heavy, and therefore suitable for coats, blazers, hats, etc..

The brass decoration in this caged piece is a vintage stamping. The beads are contemporary seed beads. A heavy piece, suitable for coats, hats and blazers...or jeans if you are adventurous.
